Another Teen Lost in Luhari Forest, Complaint Filed
I was tipped off by a trusted source from the Chikhli Police Station, Nandupada on the afternoon of 20th February 2023 regarding a missing complaint filed for a teenage boy. The boy left his home on the evening of 19th of February 2023, informing his parents that he has planned a sleepover with his friends, who live in another part of the same town. This seems to have been a regular arrangement, hence the parents only checked for the boy on the next morning when he did not return home.
The boy had his mobile device with him and some 1500 rupees according to the parents. Is it a possibility that he was mugged on the way and attacked? Is it worth mentioning to the local circles to look for an injured child around the notorious areas of the town? The police first tried to question the parents of the friends this teen was supposed to spend the night with. But the parents flat-out denied having any such plans to the police. It seems that they don’t want to be involved in a police case in any way.
I have been notified that one of the friends of this missing teen has reluctantly revealed that the boy had challenged his group of friends that he is brave enough to visit the depts of the Luhari forest alone. According to the friends, the boy was supposed to visit them on the night of 19th February 2023 with photographs taken in the Luhari forest using his mobile device.
The police have searched the accessible areas of the Luhari forest along with a group of locals, but have found no trace of the teen there. Owing to a lack of evidence, the police officials are hesitant to place any connection between Luhari forest and the missing teen. I have spoken to the parents of the missing teen who reveal that it is usual for their son to stay the night out with his friends on numerous occasions, but he is usually home the next day so they were not worried about him.
They noted nothing suspicious regarding his behaviour when he left and claim that the Luhari forest visit is just a fabrication to defame their son. They are certain that he went to visit his friends in the other part of Chikhali on the evening of 19 February 2023. It is interesting to note that they do not have any evidence to support this claim.
Speaking with the neighbours, some light has been shed regarding the teen’s personality. He has been claimed to have a recklessness about him that provokes him to take undue risks. No neighbour agreed to go on record regarding this so this has to be taken with a grain of salt. School authorities have refused to get involved in the police case as well, but off-record, some teachers from the school have mentioned that the boy had often done such attention seeking stunts in the past.
The parents of the friends with whom the missing teen was supposed to stay the night agreed to speak to me, but they do not want their family associated with the police in any way. The friends have revealed they had discussions about the Luhari forest often, but they have never gone to the forest alone or in groups. The challenge too (as per the teens’ group) was more of a joke than a real plan.
They revealed that they tried calling the missing teen on the 19th of February 2023, but his mobile device has been unreachable.
Apart from the parents of the missing, and the police officials, everyone wants to stay offrecord in this case which makes it difficult to establish facts in connection with the case.
No evidence of the boy or any of his belongings has been traced back as of the 20th of February 2023.
Further updates will be made available as the case progresses, and efforts are being made to find the boy as quickly as possible
